SOLD Art Deco Copper Brown Floor Lamp by Pietro Chiesa

Italy, 1940s.

Verly elegant funnel shaped copper Italian floor lamp designed by Pietro Chiesa. This rare floor lamp by the Italian Designer Pietro Chiesa in funnel shape has a solid base by from copper. The round lamp frame becomes a litle wider towards the top and finally opens in a beautiful wide funnel. The inside of the funnel is painted with a cream colour, which was recently renewed by us. The lampshade is finished with a strip of brass. Furthermore, you can find 2 more brass coloured elements on the lamp frame. The actual power button is no longer active, but the off and on switch is now in the cable. If desired, the installation of a dimmer is also possible.

Pietro Chiesa has propably designed this floor lamp as he assumed the role of Artistic Director of the newly formed Fontana Arte in 1934. This position he has to share with the iconic Itatlian Designer Gio Ponti.
