SOLD Golden Brass 18 Arms Chandelier
Italy 1950s
This beautiful chandelier is made of polished golden brass with 18 elegantly curved arms and 18 candelabra sockets. Due to its upward curved arms, the chandelier recalls the shape of a blooming flower, softly illuminating the ceiling of a room. The ornamented central part in the shape of a downward facing cone adds to the chandelier’s overall decorative and distinct appearance. With its elegantly upward curved arms and soft light, this chandelier is also reminiscent of the lighting designs by Italian designer Oscar Torlasco. Known for his lamps and chandeliers that diffuse soft light through optical glass lenses, Oscar Torlasco established himself in the 1950s and 1960s designing for several Italian companies specializing in lighting, such as Esperia, Stilux, Stilkronen.
