Spinetto Dining Chairs by Chiavari (Set of 8)

Italy 1960s

This set of 8 wooden dining chairs was designed and produced by Italian furniture company Chiavari in the 1960’s. Each chair combines a black lacquered frame and bast seat. Due to their lightweight materials, the Chiavari chairs are easy to carry from room to room and give every home a touch of Italian effortlessness.

Chiavari was founded in 1969 by Giuseppe Chiavari. Once  a small cabinet manufacturer, the company has since then developed its team’s original skills and became one of the most specialised bespoke furniture manufacturers in Italy. Still in the hands of the Chiavari family, the company has a strong focus on modern technological systems and traditional craftsmanship.

The Spinetto chair model is famous for being the inspiration for the Superleggera chair by Gio Ponti.
