Round Wooden Leather Dining Table Guaruja by Jorge Zalszupin

by Jorge Zalszupin, 1960s.

This Guaruja dining table by esteemed designer Jorge Zalszupin (1922 – 2020) is a testament to refined elegance.
Crafted with meticulous attention to detail, the Guaruja pedestal table features a concrete base covered with dark green leather and a round wooden patchwork table top. The green coloured leather of the base is a rarity and further emphasizes the exclusivity of this masterpiece.
Atop this resplendent base sits a resplendent tabletop crafted from veneer Imbuia wood in patchwork style. This design piece is named after Guaruja, a city on the coast of Sao Paolo where Zalszupin has created a stunning summer house for him and his family.

Jorge Zalszupin was a Polish-Brazilian architect and designer noted for modern design. In the 1950s Zalszupin founded L‘Atelier, a furniture design manufacturer in Sao Paolo, Brazil.

The dining table is marked with a L‘ Atelier sticker at the bottom of the base.
