Pendant Lamp “Artichoke” by Carlo Nason

Unique Murano Glass pendant lamp „Artichoke“ by the famous Italian Designer Carlo Nason produced for Mazzega AV in the 70s. The scpecial design of this lamp is characterised by 9 curved hand blown Murano glass leaves in the form of a bow, coloured in grey and bright frosted glass. Every part of this lamp can be moved. Therefore, there is the possibility to turn the lamp into a shape of an artichoke or an arc. The artichoke lamp looks very elegant and minimalist at the same time. The pendant lamp is in an excellent vintage condition.

Carlo Nason was born in Murano in 1935 and comes from one of the oldest families of glassmakers on the island. The Designer appropriates the most refined techniques of glass art and, demonstrating an innovative design attitude uses them in the field of design, creating a skilful combination of technique and high craftsmanship, tradition and innovation. His works are part of the collections of international museums and numerous private collections.
