Though little is known about the elusive Parisian designer and gallerist, Raoul Guys is associated with a distinct body of mid-century European steel and wicker furniture, often linked to the work of his contemporary and friend, Mathieu Matégot. These chairs embody the spirit of that lineage – stackable, sculptural, and built for everyday use.

A true design icon, the Tube Chair by Joe Colombo represents one of the most radical and forward-looking pieces of late 1960s Italian design.
Produced by Flexform in 1969, this rare 1st edition model is part of an early series so significant that the same version is held in the collection of the Vitra Design Museum in Germany.
The chair is composed of four individual cylindrical elements that can be combined and reconfigured, embodying Colombo’s vision of flexible, modular living. Crafted from PVC, polyurethane foam, and vinyl upholstery, the design was an innovative response to the era’s fascination with new materials and futuristic forms.

This particular example shows a beautiful patina, enhancing its authenticity and character. Far from diminishing its appeal, the wear underscores the chair’s history and uniqueness—making it not only a collectible piece of 20th-century design but also a striking sculptural presence.

An exceptional opportunity to acquire an important work of Italian Radical Design.

This thoughtfully designed ensemble includes a round table and four foldable chairs in the classic “director chair” style.

The chairs feature a solid wood frame with stainless steel hardware and joints, emphasizing both functionality and refined craftsmanship. The seat and backrest are upholstered in original striped cotton canvas in soft cream white and rose tones, evoking a timeless and summery aesthetic. All four chairs are foldable for ease of storage and transport.

The round table is composed of a two-part removable top, allowing for convenient disassembly. The table base is also foldable, making the entire set ideal for flexible outdoor use. A central opening in the tabletop is designed to accommodate a parasol.
