Lounge Chairs by Gianni Moscatelli
for Formanova, Italy 1980
This pair of pink lounge chairs named “Michaela” are made of a shiny steel construction with a soft, pink Alcantara upholstery. Due to their spring filling, the lounge chairs offer a very comfortable seating surface with a backrest as well as an armrest. Their bright, pink bubble-gum colour and curved forms are very typical for postmodern furniture designed in the the 1980s.
Formanova was born from the creativity and passion of Gianni Moscatelli. After graduating from the School of Design, Moscatelli founded Formanova in 1959 and created a range of products, armchairs and chairs, furniture, desks and tables.
