Italian Mid-Century Modern glass, chrome, brass, turquoise table lamps, 1970s.
Very rare set of two mid-century Italian table lamps made of three different materials. The top of the lamps are made of thick glass in a square shape with rounded corners and with a special colouring in turquoise. The chrome base is divided by a wide strip of brass. Each lamp has a screw base bulb which works well with LED or filament bulbs. European plug.

Blue Glass Pendant Lamp

Italy 1970s

The sphere of this Italian pendant lamp from the 70s has a round shape made of light blue curved glass. The glass has different gradations. The middle of the sphere is the widest point. Inside the shpere is a small tunnel of glass which is also the place for the light bulb. This tunnel is open towards the bottom. Looking at the lamp from below the end of the tunnel seems like a flower. The lamp holder is made of chrome, which is partly black. The part of the chrome has two small pens that stand out. The smaller part of the racket is black and has a sytem that allows you to easily adjust the length of the lamp from 110 cm to 125 cm.
All in all a stunning piece which gives every home a Mediterranean feel!

Table Lamp "Eco"

for Artemide, Italy 1960s

Table Lamp or Wall Lamp Eco by Luciano Annichini for Artemide, Italy 1970. White lacquered table or wall lamp ‘Eco’ (which means Echo in Italian) designed by Luciano Annichini in1970 de-emphasises the light source and gives prominence to its reflection or „echo“ upon the interior walls of the lamp and surface on which it rests. The table lamp is in excellent condition and working order and it was designed for a tubular shaped light bulb (E27 2.5W 250 lumen LED light)

Mid Century Chandelier by Carlo Scarpa for Venini, Polyhedral Murano Glass Elements, Italy.
Italian mid-century glass ceiling lamp by the famous Italian designer and architect Carlo Scarpa from 1950. This chandelier features mouth-blown Polyhedral Murano glass elements in clear and yellow, produced by the Italian glass manufacturer Venini. With 65 pieces of soft coloured and transparent mouth blown Murano tubes. Mounted on a white lacquered frame.

Murano Glass Chandelier

by Mazzega Murano – Italy 1970s

This murano glass pendant lamp was manufactured by Mazzega in Italy in the 1970s. The glass was hand blown by Murano glass blowers, making this lamp a unique piece. The five glass ‘ petals’ have small air inclusions that give the glass a spongy appearance and that nicely diffuse the light. The thick glass is amber and transparent coloured.The chandelier has a typical 70s design. The chrome-plated rod in the middle reflects the light and makes this chandelier a real eye-catcher. The chain and canopy are also chrome-plated. The chain of this lamp can be shortened to adjust the suspension height.

SOLD Murano Glass Table Lamp "Sebenica"

by E. Capuzzo for Vistosi, Italy 1960s

This very large Murano glass table lamp has a wonderful shape. The yellowy amber hemisphere inside the lamp lends a great contrast to the white shell and has small air inclusions that give the glass a nicely diffused light and casts shadows on the outer glass wall. This Italian Murano table lamp has fantastic glow and fills the room with warmth. The glass is very thick and made of high quality. The glass was hand-blown by Murano glass blowers for the manufacture VISTOSI – a company with a long history – in a time when their key to success were great collaborations to the most famous designers of the time such as Gae Aulenti, Ettore Sottsass or Adalberto Dal Lago.

Italian Glass Chrome Pendant Lamp

by Toni Zuccheri, Italy 1970s

Spectacular hanging lamp by Toni Zuccheri with glass and chrome from the Space Age era. The mouth-blown pendant showcases the Italian art of glass. The corrugated globe shows inside different elevations in various heights, the transparent glass is interrupted by white glass strips. This gives the lamp a special lightness and brightness. The lamp is very impressive due to its size, but not imposing. The chrome of the bracket is still in good condition regarding its age and use.

Toni Zuccheri (1936 – 2008) was a designer and glass artist. Born in the province of Udine, he inherited from his father a passion for animals while seeing him at work. His father, Luigi Zuccheri was an animal painter. Toni studied Architecture at the University of Venice unter tutelage of the famous designer Carlo Scarpa, Franco Albini and Ignazio Gardella.

Toni Zuccheri took an interest in glass, and at very young age started working at Venini were he invented and reinvented working techniques, shapes and colors. His collection of glass birds was exhibited at the 1964 Biennale in Venice. In 1965 he met the architect Gio Ponti, and the two collaborated on stained glass windows.

Over the course of 40 years, in addition to unique items, Zuccheri executed small production series, including lighting for Venini, VeArt, Barovier and Toso.

Mid-Century Modern Table Lamps with Brass and Cane Base

Italy 1970s

A rare set of two large Italian Table lamps from the 70s in high qualitiy and in good vintage condition. The solid base of these lamps is made of brass and cane – also known as Vienna rattan – and the matching lampshades are made of cork. Due to the cork the light will create a warm glowing light. The golden brass base in combination with the cane (Vienna rattan) is an exquisite addition to the lamp.
Each lamp has one bulb screw for a light bulb with E27 2.5W 250 lumen LED light. Any type of light bulb can be used, not a specific one preferred.

Table Lamp “Serpente”

Italian Mid-Century Modern Space Age chrome table lamp “Serpente” by Gioffredo Reggiani, 1970s.
This rare Italian mid-century chrome table lamp, named after “serpente“ meaning snake in Italian, is characterised by a flexible chromed base, which allows to bend the two globes in every different position. This table lamp by Gioffredo Reggiani is also known as „Cobra“ lamp because – depending on the positon – it reminds of a cobra snake. Its form is typical for the space age design in Italy, characterised by simple lines and a fun space-age feel.

Space Age Floor Lamp

attributed to Gioffredo Reggiani, Italy 1970s

An italian chrome floor lamp, so typical of the 70s as for the space age era, with five arms and round shades. Each arm swivels to adjust the light direction. The stems rest on a chrome, round base. This floor lamp embodies the interior style of the seventies which is characterised by the popularity of chrome and curves. Glamorous lighting was the key for the perfect atmosphere. The 1970s design had a playfulness, interior pieces should delivery joy and party feeling.
The style of this floor lamp is reminiscent of the designer Goffredo Reggiani.

Italian entrepreneur Goffredo Reggiani founded the company Reggiani Illumazione in the early 1950s. His perfectionism quickly led him to hire artists and architects around him to improve his creations, such as Gio Ponti and Richard Rogers. Reggiani received numerous awards that testify to the impact of his innovations in Europe.

This large floor lamp in lacquered metal and acrylic by Designer Luigi Bandindi Buti for Kartell is a true iconic piece from the beginnings of the 1970s. The height of the globe can be adjusted by a pulley system and counter balanced weight. The metal arm of this floor lamp that holds the globe could be rotated 180°. Murano Glass Floor Lamp

A very beautiful and unique in its shape Italian Murano glass floor lamp with a brass base by the famous Italian Manufacturer Venini. The mouthblown sphere is streaked with wavy brown colored stripes. The globe is embedded in a circular brass holder. On the bottom of the murano glass sphere is a brass cover, which also leads the power cable. The brass base has a very wonderful shape. It consists of 2 circles and is connected by a slightly inward bent stand. This Italian floor lamp is a perfect symbiosis of Italian craftmanship and Italian design.

White Purple Murano Glass Wall Lights

Extraordinary and rare set of 2 Mid-century modern Italian wall lamps or sconces with mouth blown Murano glass discs and balls produced by the famous manufacturer Vistosi in the 70s. The discs are made of iced white Murano glass and the balls are made of solid Murano glass in an incredible purple shade. Each lamp consists of 10 discs and balls each. All in all, the two lamps give an incredibly warm light and is an absolute eye catcher for any modern home.

Every wall light has 10 disc with a diameter of 15 cm. The purple glass balls have an approx. diameter of 5,5 cm.

Hollywood Regency Table Lamps (Set of 2)

A rare set of 2 impressive Hollywood Regency table lamps by Tommaso Barbi handmade of shiny brown ceramice and white Murano milky glass. The square base of the lamp captivates with finely handcrafetd row of Murano glass knobs which are pierced at the corners by small brass strips. These row of shiny Murano glass are framed by a brown shimmering ceramic in marble look which is very typical for the Italian design. The ceramic base becomes round towards the top and ends in a wonderful bulbous Murano milk glass. The finish is a circular plate of golden brass. All in all a stunning and very harmonious composition of 3 different materials.
The lamps produce a beautiful warm light and so they are the perfect eyecatcher for a stylish mid century modern home!
